I realised that I almost memorised Heal the World by MJ.
Was that song phenomenal or what?? His best song, ever, to me at least.
This morning I got to work at about 8.30 am and my kampong (our work area, fondly known as the village due to its friendly, warm villagers / colleagues), we were abuzz with news that MJ has passed on. Undeniable, he was a phenomenon, one of a kind, irreplaceable, that’s fer sure.
I might not have been his greatest fan, like one of my best buddies, Nadia. She went wild when MJ was in Singapore, and we were like.. only 13 then? But that doesn’t mean I don’t love his songs. They were always so meaningful, so close to your heart, even to a 13 yr old adolescence.
His time here is up, may he be in a better place right now.
